old age-the eve of life

The rising sun set at last to rise again the next day. His rays which lose their intensity and acquire golden hue in the evening announce that night is fast approaching. Old age is the evening of life. Losing energy, his body becomes an abode of illnesses and afflictions and conveys the message that the curtain will soon be drawn on his life’s drama.
The brain shrinks, its cavities are filled with fluid. Memory power is weakened. The function so various organs ae hampered. The ability to think is gradually lost. As the nerve endings become feeble the sense of smell and taste suffer a setback.
As the capacity of lungs to contract and expand declines, breathing problems and cough will follow. As the oxygen is not steadily supplied to far off cells they begin to decay. Resistance to diseases becomes gradually weaker.
